Roger Hargreaves Google doodle featuring Mr Tickle
Children's author Roger Hargreaves is today celebrated with a series of Google doodles - on what would have been his 76th birthday.
Hargreaves, who died in 1988 aged 53, created his first Mr Men character in 1971.
Mr Tickle was the first of 46 Mr Men books, with 33 Little Miss stories also appearing from 1981, and the long-armed orange character is featured in one of today's doodles.
Google has used a number of the characters to create a series of doodles which change when the Google page is refreshed :D

Once published, Hargreaves' tales were an instant hit, selling 1million copies within three years.
The simple stories also spawned TV cartoon series.
After Hargreaves' death from a stroke, son Adam, one of four children the author had with wife Christine, continued to write the stories.

Alright, that's all! Tomorrow's sports day, might be fun though. Loads of pictures gonna come.
God bless you, xx.
